Restless Legs Syndrome has had a significant impact on my life, affecting my sleep and daily comfort. For the longest time, I felt very isolated and unsupported. Now, I understand it much better, and I have an armoury of solutions and coping strategies to help me live with the condition. My advice is to get your ferritin levels checked at the GP for a baseline. Your GP might tell you that all results are 'Normal', but for RLS sufferers, ferritin should be above 75. Take some Ferrous Sulphate supplements daily and recount your blood in 3 months time. In the meantime, try a 'Boring' audiobook! There are podcasts designed to be very dull, and read in a monotonous tone. I have found the distraction to be just enough to help me fall asleep through an episode. I would never had thought it could work, but I suggest you at least give it a try!
